NR, resveratrol and alpha-lipoic acid: beyond the names
Questa guida è attualmente disponibile in inglese.
NR, resveratrol and alpha-lipoic acid often come up together in conversations about longevity. They are different substances, each with its own research history. Here is what each one is, and what the studies looked at.
NR is a precursor, not NAD+
Nicotinamide riboside, usually shortened to NR, is a precursor the body can use in NAD metabolism. It is not NAD+ itself. A 2018 oral NR trial measured an increase in blood-cell NAD+ after NR; our NR and NAD+ guide explains its design and findings.
Resveratrol: a closely studied compound
Resveratrol is one of the most talked-about names in longevity, and it has been studied in randomised human research. As with any ingredient, the details of each study are what make it worth reading: who took part, for how long and in what form.
Alpha-lipoic acid: know the setting
The 2006 SYDNEY 2 trial studied oral alpha-lipoic acid in 181 people with diabetic polyneuropathy over five weeks, with neuropathic symptoms as its endpoint. Read the SYDNEY 2 trial.
It is a good example of reading a study well: note who took part, what was measured and for how long. That trial sits in a medical setting. Everyday longevity routines are a different goal, and the one 24/sync builds for.
Why bring them together
A blend brings ingredients together in one formulation, so the routine stays a single step: nothing to swallow, nothing to mix. Each ingredient keeps its own research story, and the label gives you the exact form and amount of each, down to the milligram.
Where 24/sync NAD+ Longevity comes in
NAD+ Longevity is built for the long game and everyday cellular energy. It brings NR and resveratrol together in one clear patch, with the actives built into the adhesive layer that sits against your skin, designed to release steadily across the hours you wear it.
Read the current details and use instructions, then give it a couple of weeks of daily wear and notice how your days feel. Science & standards covers the research behind each ingredient.
