01Caffeine anhydrous
What it is
Caffeine in its anhydrous, or water-free, chemical form. Caffeine is a xanthine alkaloid also found naturally in coffee and tea; the source of the caffeine used here is not specified.
Its place in the formula
When taken by mouth, caffeine blocks receptors for adenosine, a chemical involved in sleepiness. This helps explain its familiar alertness effect in oral use, not a demonstrated effect of the Energy patch.
02Taurine
What it is
A sulphur-containing amino sulfonic acid that occurs naturally in the human body and in some foods. It is chemically distinct from caffeine.
Its place in the formula
In the body, taurine helps regulate water balance inside cells and how cells handle calcium, which they use for signalling. These are normal biological roles, not demonstrated effects of adding taurine in a patch.
03Glucuronolactone
What it is
A compound chemically related to glucuronic acid. Official ingredient references commonly describe D-glucuronolactone; the supplied formula names glucuronolactone without specifying its stereochemical form.
Its place in the formula
Like taurine, glucuronolactone is familiar from some oral energy-drink formulations. This provides context for its appearance beside caffeine without establishing the manufacturer's intended effect.
04Green tea extract
What it is
A botanical extract associated with green tea, made from Camellia sinensis. Green tea contains several constituents, including catechins and caffeine.
Its place in the formula
Green tea is the botanical component of Energy 's otherwise named-compound and vitamin ingredient profile.
05Vitamin B3
What it is
A water-soluble B vitamin also known as niacin. The term includes several related forms, such as nicotinic acid and nicotinamide; this formula does not identify which form is used.
Its place in the formula
In normal nutrition, B3 is used to make NAD and NADP: helper molecules that let cells turn nutrients from food into usable energy and build other molecules. This explains vitamin biology, not an energy benefit proven for this patch.
06Vitamin B5
What it is
Pantothenic acid, a water-soluble B vitamin. In normal nutrition it is used to make coenzyme A, a molecule involved in many metabolic reactions.
Its place in the formula
B5 contributes a different vitamin identity from B3 and B6, with its own biochemical background in coenzyme A and fatty-acid metabolism.
07Vitamin B6
What it is
A water-soluble vitamin name covering several related compounds, including pyridoxine, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine and their phosphate forms.
Its place in the formula
B6 is a separate part of the three-vitamin profile. Its active coenzyme forms participate in normal metabolism, including reactions involving amino acids.
A quick guide to ingredient terms
- Extract
- A preparation made from a source material, often a plant. The plant part and extraction method affect which compounds are present.
- Polyphenol
- A broad family of plant compounds. Describing a compound as an antioxidant in a laboratory test does not show a health benefit from a finished patch.
- Peptide
- A short chain of amino acids. GHK is a chain of three; GHK-Cu is its copper complex.
- Coenzyme
- A molecule that helps enzymes carry out chemical reactions. NAD and coenzyme A are examples discussed in vitamin research.
- Standardisation
- A specification for the level of selected compounds in a material. It does not by itself establish absorption, safety or effectiveness.
The practical advantages of the format
- 30 patches per pouch
- Nothing to mix or swallow
- Choose one-time or monthly purchasing
